Primary 4/5/6 Panel
Welcome to P4/5/6!
We are all gearing up for the Christmas holidays after a very busy term! We have all been hard at work preparing for our panto, The Twelve Days of Christmas, and hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
Next term we will be learning about World War 2. During the holidays, pupils could be thinking about what they would like to learn within this topic. We hope to use a writing approach called 'Storyline', which involves developing characters and writing about them in a range of situations. It would be helpful if pupils could spend some time speaking about, and researching, the daily lives of children during WWII.
Enjoy the holidays, have a very Merry Christmas and fantastic New Year!
This week in class.....
This week we have been concentrating on the Christmas panto! Most of our other activities have focused on Christmas, for example, we have been learning about nouns through reading Christmas song words and picking out proper and common nouns. We have also been completing Christmas cross words and cracking Christmas codes!
Spelling homework is given out every Friday, to be handed in the following Thursday. Children are also asked to complete one other piece of work, this could be maths, topic or language work.
There will be no more homework in 2011!
